The Great Falls Amateur Hockey Association (GFAHA) proudly serves over 100 youth hockey players from the Great Falls area.  GFAHA encourages participation and growth in the youth programs, so all players wishing to participate are invited to join.  Youth divisions are by birth year (January - December):

• 6U - ages 6 & under (Termite Division)
• 8U – ages 8 & under (Mite Division)
• 10U – ages 10 & under (Squirt Division)
• 12U – ages 12 & under (Pee Wee Division)
• 14U – ages 14 & under (Bantam Division)
• High School 

Players practice and compete at the Great Falls Community Ice-Plex located on Gore Hill on the southwest side of Great Falls. Teams also have opportunities to compete in out of town games and tournaments.

By participating in GFAHA’s youth hockey programs, players learn the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, self- discipline, and focus.  They also learn the importance of taking care of themselves with healthy physical activity and good nutrition.

Through grants and donations, GFAHA has purchased most of the standard hockey gear to have available for participants 12 and under to use if they desire.  Additional costs such as ice rental, referees, awards, program printing, and other administrative costs are raised in part from raffles and association sponsors.  In a continuous effort to try to keep participation and tournament entry fees affordable, GFAHA looks to the community for additional support.

Each age division hosts a tournament annually inviting typically 8-10 teams from other parts of Montana and Canada to compete.  Teams typically roster an average of 16 players, so along with their families, this brings hundreds of people to Great Falls supporting the hotels, restaurants, stores, and the community.  Proceeds from these tournaments help offset the costs of hosting the tournaments in addition to supporting GFAHA’s youth hockey programs.
